he he he.. itu memang istilahnya orang-orang kereta api dan RF Tersenyuum.. Mungkin juga istilah asingnya guardrail.

Fungsinya adalah memaksa roda kereta api untuk tetap menempel di rel. Biasanya dipasang di curve (tikungan) dengan radius yang pendek, misalnya jalur antara Purwakarta - Padalarang.
Selain itu bisa ditempatkan di rel yang melintasi jembatan.
