ane pernah baca artikel di koran kalau track kereta api tertinggi di dunia di pegang oleh china.menurut artikel tersebut ketinggian track di sana bisa sampai kalau tidak salah bisa sampai 2500 m dpl. jadi bila kereta melaju di track tersebut otomatis di dalam kabin penumpang akan menjulur selang oksigen karena menyesuaikan dengan tekanan udara di luar gerbong.kalau tidak salah kereta tersebut melewati / menuju tibet yang masih di anggap provinsi bagian dari china. nggak kebayang betapa tingginya track tersebut .di lintasan garut aja cc 204 sudah ngos ngosan  ada yang tahu nggak ???

-- The railway is the world's longest plateau railroad, extending 1,956 kilometers from Qinghai's provincial capital Xining to Lhasa in Tibet. The newly completed Golmud-Lhasa section zigzags 1,142 kilometers across the Kunlun and Tanggula mountain ranges.
-- About 550 kilometers of the tracks run on frozen earth, the longest in any of the world's plateau railways.
-- Tanggula Railway Station, 5,068 meters above sea level, is the highest railway station in the world.
-- Fenghuoshan Tunnel, 4,905 meters above sea level, is the world's most elevated tunnel on frozen earth.
-- Kunlun Mountain Tunnel, running 1,686 meters, is the world's longest plateau tunnel built on frozen earth.

Jalur kereta api Qingzang, jalur kereta api Qinghai–Xizang, atau jalur kereta api Qinghai–Tibet (Hanzi sederhana: éÂ’è—Âé“Âè·¯; Hanzi tradisional: éÂ’è—Âéµ路; pinyin: QÄ«ngzàng TiÄ›lù; bahasa Tibet: mtsho bod lcags lam à ½˜à ½šà ½¼à ¼‹à ½–à ½¼à ½‘à ¼‹à ½£à ¾•à ½‚à ½¦à ¼‹à ½£à ½˜à ¼Â), adalah jalur kereta api yang menghubungkan kota Xining di Provinsi Qinghai dengan Lhasa di Tibet, Republik Rakyat Cina.
Panjang jalur kereta api Qingzang adalah 1956 km. Konstruksi seksi sepanjang 815 km antara Xining dan Golmud selesai pada tahun 1984. Seksi sepanjang 1142 km antara Golmud dan Lhasa dibuka pada tanggal 1 Juli 2006 oleh presiden Hu Jintao. Jalur kereta api ini merupakan jalur kereta pertama yang menghubungkan Cina Dalam dengan Tibet. Hal ini diakibatkan karena topografi dan ketinggian Tibet.

Berarti KA dari Xining tujuan Lhasa harus berenti dulu di stasiun antara untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi para penumpang melakukan adaptasi ketinggian dulu kali yah ? (CMIIW)
